Took a Sunday drive down thru Wyoming County, NY today to see the new
windmills my uncle has been talking about. They've had ten for a few years
now, but there are now about fifty scattered around the county. It was
interesting to see the mixture of "Windpower YES!" "Windpower NO!" yard
signs, all in the dull pulsing roar and blinking shadows of the pinwheels
doing their thing.
No other comment really, just something to see.

I think Ontario has 2 - 3 hundred megawatts now,
of wind power .. and more are coming.
The output is up & down like a yoyo ...
but I guess "the price is right" for green power.

And for only 2¢ more per KWH, my power company will guarantee that my
electricity will come from windmills!
Considering what it already costs in NY I'll stick with Niagara hydropower,
thank you...

I dont honestly know which is cheaper: hydro or nuclear (when figured o=
ver
the life of the plant) but i suspect hydro is cheapest. Either one is
what i would call good, reliable, affordable green energy.
