I don't know much about either. Isn't the Bergey much larger? Anyway,
here's a link to the Skystream manual.
http://www.windenergy.com/documents/manuals/3-CMLT-1054_Skystream_Manual.pdf
Bergey's is "pending" http://www.bergey.com/Technical.htm .

Don't be so hard on yourself wayne, you get full credit for
discovering that increasing the daily load reduces resistance in
cable.
Is that more than one Burgey or are you saying Burgey is is.

I have not seen a bergey . How does size matter ? cost ? more efficient
? between the two ( bergey vs skystream? )

The Bergey grid-tie unit appears to be 10kW, 22' rotor diameter
compared to 2kW and 12' for the Skystream (3.4 times less swept area).
There's obviously going to be a substantial difference in tower,
installation requirements, and price. You'll need to do a full
cost-benefit analysis to decide which is better for you. BTW, those
two are grid-tie only, but you can connect *any* turbine to the grid
if you use a battery-based grid-tie inverter setup. Which would give
you backup power as well.

Yes there is quite a difference in price , around 10,000 .
