I bought 2 years ago a TED 1000 model and just purchased the 5000 model which is
supposed to be able to connect to my wireless home network. The 1000 model
connects
via toroid coils inside my main breaker box and transmits data to a LCD desktop
display with current days kWh and total $ and projects the monthly total cost.
does anyone here know about this model and do you have any experience in using
the new
5000 model?
if anyone knows the model (I won't post links so as to not appear to sell
anything...)
or if you have need for a spare TED 1000, I have no use for mine since I bought
the
TED 5000. post contact info and we'll setup shipping.

Have you tried either model on an inverter supply? Last I asked, the
company said that the 1000 couldn't transmit over an inverter
waveform.

no I have not as my setup is the typical 240/120 in the southeast with 250amp
main
servicepanel
if you (or anyone) would like to have the TED 1000, post contact details and
I'll be
happy to find them a new home

I'd like to experiment with it on inverters if the price is right. You
can email me at the address above, just take out the REMOVE part.
