My bro scored me two 120 watt pannels and brought them up from Cali.
They're freaking HUGE but they do the biz. Kyocera kc120-1r
Some guy down in Oakland was selling them for about 2.50 bucks a watt -- He
was retro-fitting bago's with them and had a garage full. I"m still on
the wrong side of the hill so they don't kick in till around 10:00am but
once the sun hits them they're kicking ass. I can run all day on those
without touching the gen.
Timely since the hydro is down to like 2 hours a day.. i don't even run it
very often so as not to worry the trout in the pond. I think it bugs them
when the water gets low and its so hot out.
Now if only I had another 4-5 of those panels life would be really good

Yea, but solar is really boring. The stuff just works...for years at a
time. No noise, no vibration, no bad bearings, no drama.

I'd make a video of my solar panels making power, but its just as easy to
take a still and loop it!!
Now you guys need to figure out something that makes me power from overcast
and fog. That would be the shit ..
its hard to justify spending so much on a system that only makes real power
3 months a year

Couldn't you just loop it? Four loops and you've got a year!

into the charge controller ...
but I still need to power the video ..but i'll be able to do that from
how simple is that? Screw you Saudi we've got infinite energy !
