i read elsewhere to put 12v accross the coils, i did this and it almost
works!
its a 1.3kw generator, i plug drill/saw in 1.01kw they work fine
plug in vacumn cleaner 1.2kw, which always worked before, the voltage
colapses, when i switch it off, it takes a few seconds to come back up.
any idea how long i should leave the 12 volts on? its sparks slightly,
probalmy takes about 4 amps
any ideas?

Are you talking about Flashing the Field, dont do it if your unit has a
Field boost. Use a 12v battery and connect +to+ and - to - for about 5
seconds while running full speed. Hopefullty that does it.
