Time to reduce some ignorance, mine. I've googled Sterling engines but
there's a lot of stuff out there to wade through so I'm hoping to use the
newsgroup to cut through it. Give me some websites and/or books, if you
can.
Where can I get some info on:
1) basic Sterling engines
a. how they work
b. what kind of power output they can have
c. how large would a high powered unit have to be (e.g. big as a
riding mower and weigh 500# or big as a small shed and weigh tons)
d. how big would one need to be pump water @ 10 gal/min with 50' of
lift
e. can they be easily solar powered
2) construction of Sterling engines
a. can they be easily built in a basic home shop
b. can a home schooled builder build one
3) plans for large Sterling engines

Please note that I have already googled and found thousands of websites.
Most of which seem to be aimed at making toy engines. Too much trust in a
spell checker
