Thanks, I'll RTFM.  I got a little manual with the C60 that was
useless.  Those links are much better.  Much appreciated.

So in this diagram, is the c60 controlling or diverting?  If it is in
diversion mode, is there any value in having another one running as a
controller, particularly with two different generators?

Well I'm operating only from theory.  My turbine is on version II and I
just ordered my c35 which is all i *think* i'll need, so I"m only going
on what I HOPE will work :)

In diversion control mode it charges and maintains the batteries and once
the batteries are fully charged it diverts power to the dump load -- a
heater or whatever you plan on using to deal with the diverted load.

So one c60 should handle the function of diversion and charge control.
If you think you need both modes: charge control/diversion and load
control then you need two units.

Now as to combining the sources, as long as you aren't putting more amps
into the c60 than it can handle I think you can just wire them all into
the single c60.  You might want blocking diodes, so charge doesn't flow
back to say solar pannels or other sources and maybe a junction box with
switches as you think you'll need.

Also you need to fuse and ground the c60 like described in the manual.

My plan is to hook my turbine and solar panels into one
controller/diverter with the blocking diodes on the pannel side and see
what happens.

Thats how I read the setup anyway.

best of luck.
