Here it is so far

http://www.jeffersonfreestate.org/hh/

Just doing some plumbing now and getting it ready to take for a spin.
Right now i'm just going to use house water to see if its going to work at
all.

Still need to get another 200 feet of hose or so and build a little shed
and do some other things, but i'm pretty happy to get this far.  So far its
cost under $100

Glad to see some thinking and trying-out going on. I do think your shaft is
way too long to be supported only by the generator. I can't quite see why it
can't be a lot shorter but I guess you have a reason.

The shaft is about six inches including the coupler (it kind of looks
longer in the pictures now that I look at it).  Mostly due to the way the
barrel is shaped there are two handle indentations in the plastic which
made securing the nozzles a lot easier.  I think I could probably move up
2 more inches and still use the lid mount.  Its kind of slick because you
can just pull the lid off with the motor and wheel.

I'm thinking i'll probably have to build a frame around it too, depending
on how much side to side motion that motor gets.  I do have another
barrel I can play with so if I need to cut the shaft length down thats
something I can do.

I also want to separate the wheel from the motor as much as I can get
away with just to keep the splash away from it .. as a general rule.  I
don't know how much that would matter, but I figured the motor wouldn't
like being wet all the time.

Perhaps a dirt-simple Teflon bearing to steady the shaft?

I might put a bearing with 2 eye bolts welded to it and just run heavy
guage wire to each side of the barrel (or all four sides).  That way i
won't have to build a half-assed braket system.  I have a bearing that
would fit on a 1/2 inch .. dono about how i'd do being wet all the time.
If It comes down to needing one i'll look up this teflon bearing you're
talking about.

Today I got the rest of my pipe, and the big pacific storms have passed
for now so it's prime time to get outside and do some building

cheers
