portable electric generator - two questions

 1) Who makes the most fuel efficient portable electric generators?

2) Who makes the quietest operating portable electric generators?

Hard to say.  Supposedly the little inverter generators made by Honda and
Yamaha etc are highly efficient but that depends upon the load.  I have
found that fuel consumption on my Cheap Chinese generators from Pep Boys is
about equal at half load or greater.  At minimum load the variable speed
inverter generators use very little gasoline.  I had a Honda eu2000 run a 24
cu/ft refrigerator for 13 hours on one gallon of gas.

Definately the inverter generators for small portables.  They are made by
Honda, Yamaha, and Kipor.  There may be others.
