Anyone link me to to a quality fan ?  The ones at the home centers are
power hogs ! Thanx!

I like Lasko's $5 2155a 16" window fan. Reversible, 3-speeds, with
a thermostat, moves 2470 cfm with 90 watts, at 27 cfm/W.

A ceiling fan might do better, if that could be arranged. Grainger's
48" 315 rpm 4C853 fan moves 21K cfm with 86 watts, at 244 cfm/W.

And we can move 2470 cfm with a 10 F temp diff and a 16' height diff
between 2 2470/16.6/sqrt(10x16) = 11.76 ft^2 vents, with no electricity.

Thanks Nick
You must have a ridge vent  to move the 2470 CFM sans AC power.

How long do you think the Lasco will last up in an attic?

I have been through several attic vent fans and none of them lasted
two years.

180F is a little high for inefficient fans.

You are welcome.

16.6Asqrt(8'x10F) = 2470 makes A = 16.6 ft^2, so 2
2'x4' gable vents and some soffit vents would do...

Dunno. Five years?
