And Saab started the trend in 1978 with the 99 model. They made it 'their thing'
to get high power from smaller engines like 2 litres when you want it but great
economy when you don't.

Yep, he's correct both had turbo's in the 60's. The 1980's Dodge turbo's
( 2.2 litre) were making 224hp by the final version.

Wrong. The best Saabs were designed as Saabs by Swedes too.

I've long suspected that GM contracted the Saab Design Studio to style
the Aztec, one of the few current vehicles that can rival your old
Saab for fugliness and WTF-were-they-thinking.
