How many btu's are you needing?
Are you talking 24/7 operation or once a month for three hours?
The plants the other guys highlight are for 24/7 operation and firetube.
Greater reserve for changing loads.
They can indeed go smaller for the btu's rating.
With the monotube being the smallest at 1/3 to 1/2 the small size of a
firetube of the same rate.
But as with the roberts(watertube) the load pretty much has to be steady.
There are exceptions of course,all steam cars...for the most
part(Stanley,Foden had firetube), had watertube like the White(later to
become Autocar).
Or monotube like the Doble.
limited space and faster startup being the ruling factor on that exception.
mOst of what you are going to find is firetube in the smaller size boilers.
With exception of a local boiler shop,custom building you one.
You can buy a monotube stick feed boiler for about 1/5price of a firetube.

At the same time the firetubes shown are good chip feed boilers.Able to run
24/7 operation with
weekly ash removal and reloading the wood bin.
