We are getting horrible mileage with our hybrid camry (4cyn) to the tune of 28 mpg. the dealership has been absolutely NO help at all… help!

    Hi Amie,

Sorry to hear about your trouble. I don’t know what a good MPG on a hybrid Camry would be. It is a larger car than Prius I have so I would think it should get mid-to-upper 30s. One thing I can tell you for sure is that the more options you get for your car the worse MPG gets. I am on my second Prius and this last one I bought loaded with some stuff like XM radio, CD changer etc. (Option #5 for those in the know) and watched the MPG drop from the usual 51MPG to 48MPG. Also, you can sometimes see horrible yields like 20MPG or so if the car was just sitting and warming up but if you look at at later it usually evens out at a higher, more reasonable value.
