One bar or two bars will be red, purple, magenta, or pink, depending on
who reports the color. Three to six bars are blue, and seven or eight
bars are green.

One or two are red. On the way up Palomar Mountain, it gets to red. On
the way down, it spends a lot of time in green. Neither one is
optimal, as far as either mileage (or, I hear, battery life) is concerned.
