I'm sorry, but I'm just expressing my opinion, and I feel that this part
of the discussion belongs in a political newsgroup, not here.  As an
adult, do I not have the right to express that opinion?

"Cool your jets" means allow a little more time before cracking the whip. We
bought our Prius many because we felt it was wrong to open up the Artic so
it could be wasted. So, in affect, our purchase was a political one.  And it
bothers me to know there's so many idiots out there that don't have or don't
want to have a clue.
The Prius is surrounded by politics. My comment was on the fring and I had
no intention of continuing it any further.

That may be so, but the thing is, that doesn't mean someone else won't
come along and respond with something inflammatory, and before you know
it, we have a full blown-out political argument entirely removed from
anything to do with this group.  I've seen it happen all the time,
including in the Mac groups, where there's an Islam vs Christianity vs
Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster argument currently going on.

That's true. Doesn't take much to change one's name so they can jump in and
not tarnish their established conservative reputation. Unless they're stupid
enough to use the same computer and provider.
