Probably not, but then it's as much about *wanting* to show the world how
dumb you can be and while we may lack the ability to do that on a grand
scale we don't seem to be much interested in doing it on a per capita basis
:)

By the sound of it you are in the USA, Knob is in Australia where the
price difference is as he says.
If a Prius is more competitively priced compared to other similar sized
cars in the US than here then it might make more economic sense there
than it does here where it makes no economic sense at all.

you are talking Imperial gallons I take it
the 48MPG from a US test would most likely be US gallons
so work out the MPG again using the 3.8L(or close to it) per gallon and
see what you get

I think anyone posting in AU (or international) NGs should
use SI units such as litres and km.
For all we know also 01/12/2009 could have already happened.
Same goes with $s too.
