Have you developed worn edges on the center console and the door arm rests -
I have.  And my driver's seat (grey) has darkened and worn in spite of
weekly cleanings. BTW, I wear tan kaki trousers 99% of the time.

Not yet.

Mine's gray, too; no darkening, and I don't clean the seats at all.

I wear either suit pants or jeans.

I had cloth in my 2005, leather in my 2010.   As with your 07, the cloth
seats on my 05 (daughter has it now) still look like new.  Moreover, they
were more comfortable than the leather seats in my 2010, electric heaters
not-with-standing.  Since the -F temps set in those heated seats feel pretty
good.  I'm 200+ lbs.

There is no right or wrong answer.  Your reason or motive need not
be linked to the physical world - your motivation could be
psychological or
sociological. I just want to hear about the reasoning or motivation
that
a person has when selecting a particular option.

Thanks again.

OK, on a Prius or any car,  my priorities would be a cruise control
that will hold the speed to within 1 mph maybe 2 up or down on a steep
hill.  A GPS that includes the MPH so I can use it to set the speed.
would it be all that difficult to program in a speed and use the GPS
signal to go automatically go to that speed and maintain it?  And it
would help if the SOB in front of me had one also....
A mp3 player with USB capabilities.
Anything that makes the car quieter at highway speed.  Anything that
helps it heat fast and cool fast, remote starts are a wonderful thing.
An oil change, antifreeze, transmission fluid, brake fluid, timing belt
and everything else minder that runs off the computer (like GM has for
oil changes) and not miles driven.  A coffee dispenser, backup and
forward sensors, oh make that edge of bumper sensors so I can park and
maneuver with out bumping into things.
My motivation is to drive as efficiently, some would call it as fast
as possible and not worry about speeding tickets, and not bump into
things when parking, slow tight turns.  And most of all to enjoy the
driving.
How about a rear view mirror that automatically adjusts at a push of
a button and shines the light back into a following drivers eyes when he
has his brights on?
While I'm thinking about it, a web ready radio/computer with wireless
function that automatically records my favorite internet radio station
programs off my wireless router while the car is sitting unattended, and
cuts out the commercials, so I can listen to them on the next drive.....
Geez life it tough,  I have to do all this stuff now manually.
