Christian -- is this from your own program or is this from the Fronius
s/w?

 Yes. I'm trying to find people now with multiple inverters (and some
knowledge on computers, to be able to use a port monitor for sniffing at the
protocol), in order to find out how to implement multiple nodes, before I
refine my application.

Is there some free visualization software for solar systems around, that can
deal with "foreign" data in some special format, for example XML, or a
database? I don't want to re-invent the wheel if I have an easy way for the
"display" part. Maybe I can hook to that...

Otherwise I will use RRDTOOL, which is just perfect except the fact that
changing the structure of a RRD database after it's created is very hard.
