That's what I'm just doing at the moment. The program is communicationg
nicely - still I need a checksum algorithm first to be able to SEND data
that should be understood...
Might need to set up some brute-force testing application implementing
some CRC tests.

One must presume that they think it needs to remain proprietary to protect
their other property that uses the same protocol, I guess the welding
equipment. The open protocol must be a new development from scratch to
avoid conflict with the welding protocol. Why it needs to be proprietary
is unknown, but it's their equipment.
I decided after the fact that $00 was too much for me to spend for
monitoring, but I would like some monitoring. I don't know how much I want
to spend, especially for something bundled into competitive products.
