Does anyone know of some inexpensive solar panels?
I know they are coming down in price.
Any info would help get me started. Thx

In Australia,

solar panels of approx 20 years old are coming up at auctions ex telcos. I
have got them for about a quarter to a third of new price. For a panel with
a nameplate rating of 2.75 amp, these are producing up to 2.5 amp.
Since I have never got rated amps out of a new panel I figure these are
still pretty good.

At the auctions, some guys have bought  30 or 40 panels for use in outback
power supplies.

Yes they are a bargain and I picked up 104 80w panels in one lot, they do
need the mastic sealant redoing, and junction boxes need to be carefully
checked and/or repaired for possible corrosion.  I made damn sure the 104 I
bid on did not come from a coastal or salt plagued region.

I won't upset you by telling you what I paid for them.  You would be crying
all night.  I will make a house out of the buy.
