A question about the 175 watt power inverter. I've gotten the solar kit all
hooked up. Had fun running a back massager and floor fan. When I turn the
floor fan to the highest setting. The inverter alarm went off. The fan kept
running though. The manual said the alarm would go off if it had low voltage
from the battery going off at 10.75 The meter showed just under 12volts. So
my only other thought was the fan was drawing more then a 175 watts of power
more then the inverter could do. Would this also set off the alarm?
Another question as I'm still learning about it. Is it ran my TV this
was fun. But when I turned off the TV and then back on the Fault light on
the inverter would go off. The TV wouldn' come back on. The volt meter
show's 12 volts The TV is only 120 watts. The battery has only been charging
for about 6 to 7 hours today. This was the first day any power from the PV
could charge. As I hooked up the PV the Meter showed an increase, wiggle of
the needle. Not much at all, I thought the PV in direct sun light would put
out close to 14volts. Though the meter is on the other side of the charge
controler, am thinking about useing another volt meter on the PV with it
unhooked from the controler to see how much voltage its putting out on
direct sunlight.

Your TV won't come back on because the start up surge is far more than the
little inverter can handle.

So windsun is saying that the inverter has less surge capacity the
second time it starts the TV.
My god, the drivel gets worse by the minute.
Probable cause is once you have run the TV, the battery voltage is
reduced just enough so that on the second start the voltage falls below
the inverters cut out threshold. Result TV fails to start.

The degaussing coil is the reason for the start surge. This can easily
be unplugged and occasionally plugged in again when the picture gets bad.

The degausing circuit in a TV is shut down by two heat dependant
components and once the TV is warm is not involved again.
