Looking up "iron oxide band gap" on Google, I find:

"As iron oxide has a bandgap of 2.2 eV, it therefore absorbs solar
radiation from 295 to 600 nm, which comprises 38% of the phonons of the
solar spectrum."

in a reference to an abstract of an article which is not available for
free. (Am. Journal of Ceramics).

I also find my posts on the subject, which shows that Google is not very
discriminating.
