Translation: Ghinius ghio admits to being a hypocrite yet again,
responds exactly as predicted, and craps out yet another bald-faced
lie that he must run from.

You know George, every time you disappear for a few months, I'm
hopeful that you might have finally woken from your stupor and decided
to become human. Shame on me.

Sorry wayne, there is no lie. I own three inverters. One is dead,
deemed (economically) unrepairable.

While we are talking about the truth, you never built your own house.
It was built by a series of subcontractors. This is the truth by your
own admission when you also claimed to be the general contractor and
claimed that the concrete cracked and blamed the subcontractor for
faulty work when the real reason for the cracking was that you as the
"General Contractor" failed to properly supervise the work and did not
allow the concrete to cure properly. i.e. You allowed building to
start on green concrete.

Further to the truth being out in the open, you never designed your
system. It was copied from a magazine. The proof of this is as simple
as the fact that no one with an ounce of design skills would ever have
used a 24 volt system for your claimed load of 15kWh/day.

Murphy says if anything can go wrong, it will. We were off to our
daughter’s college graduation today (Champlain College, Burlington
VT), and came home to no power. Batteries are fully charged, but the
inverter is totally out. Thunder and lightning storm today apparently
found a way in past the protectors. Being a Saturday, can’t get tech
support working on a replacement till Monday. We can run from
generator, but that would take a lot of fuel. We are moving food from
the electric fridge to the two propane fridges, and changing our sleep
cycles to match the sun. The well pump runs from battery, so we have
water, but the propane tankless water heater uses electric ignition.
We have moved out to the camper, which is self contained, and solar
charged. Can’t wait to find out what the repair bill will be.

5-11-09 Update - Just got off the phone with Outback. $75 for
overnight replacement of the three logic boards. This is an out of
warranty replacement. Will update after installation.

Hi Steve
That's too bad about the inverter.
It sort of makes me wonder what lightning fried chicken would taste like?
Sorry, just trying to pick ya up here
My brother who lives close, has a cheap 12V 2500W MSW that we do a quick
battery bank rewire to run in an emergency.
But your propane fridge sounds like a cool plan to me.
Take care and I hope all goes well.

So is that a board swap or do you get to keep the konked
boards for inspection and repair (and backup)?

It's a board swap.
