I'm looking for a 12 volt timer; like the kind you use to turn lights
on and off. I'm putting in a garden at our cabin and will be using a
small bilge pump from the cistern to water the plants. Since it's 12
volts, I'm trying to avoid a plug in wall timer and transformer and
using both inverter power and then stepping it down.

There is a company in Bangkok that sells multirange timer 12, 24, vdc
220, 380 vac. Good Hunting !!

I asked them for a sample and will let you know the cost via EMS to
Chiang Mai, Thailand. If they prove worthwhile will order a few for our
solar street lamp projects.
