Whatever you do, don't believe anyone who says that you or the UK have
priced yourselves out of the market. If your billable hours are down,
then increase your rate. More Usenet=more knowledge=higher rates. If
you do enough of it, then pretty soon you can charge 100k per hour,
and only work one hour a year. Which will leave more time for Usenet!
You can even write some posts about the secret to your new success.
Don't forget to mention that you discovered it here, and be sure to
include the phrase "win-win".

Weiner does all this on his 200 watts of PV and $00K of batteries.

Doesn't work. There's plenty of other people competing for the diminishing pool
business, so if anything, it's forcing rates DOWN.
I just employed a solicitor. Even their work is dropping. He did me a 'half usual

A year back my father hired a plumber to fix a small leak under his sink. At
the door he was told he owed $00. Flabbergasted, my father complained. He
was promptly told plumbers get $00 per hour and a minimum call is one hour.
"Shit" I am a surgeon and I hardly make $00 per hour!"
"I didn't either, when I was a doctor" said the plumber.

No kidding? Cripes man, you're so busy responding to sarcasm that you
don't have enough time to recognize it.
Apparently he doesn't agree with your opinion about "true value".
Anyway, if you know all about this scarcity of work, yet charge $0 an
hour, does that mean your rate used to be $00?
