Yeah, it's scary that he does not respond to any emails by you or by
PayPal. But he still continues to write to these forums so he's alive!
I was lucky as I got my trackers from Duane at the end. But no
communication whatever. If I was an asshole, I could have taken the
trackers and run since I already got my money back from PayPal before
the trackers finally arrived! All this could have been avoided by a
simple email saying: Sorry, I'm late in assembling them, but you will
get them in the end...

I bet his business will slow down if people read these forums.

After posting this message
http://groups.google.com/group/alt.solar.photovoltaic/msg/a5d5e937cb4c1150
(Aug 2008), which advised using the telephone if necessary to contact
Duane, I had occasion to call him with a tech question. Once again, I
got him on the first try. My conclusion is that anyone who really
wants to communicate with him won't have any trouble.

It would be nice if every business could please every customer. In the
case at hand that might mean that Duane would have to hire someone to
keep up with the email, even it cost an extra $ per board. But if I
were him, and considering that I was marketing a low-cost, high-value
product as a part-time endeavor, I'd just let the least-flexible
customers go to the competition.
