Just crossed my desk from Cnet news:

MWOE Solar: CEO and University of Toledo professor Xunming Deng says he
can cut the costs involved in manufacturing amorphous silicon solar
panels by 90 percent. (Most solar panels employ rigid crystalline
silicon solar panels, which harvest more energy. But flexible amorphous
silicon panels are growing in demand.)

Deng, however, would not describe how his company can reduce the costs
in this manner. The only clue he gave was that MWOE's panels
incorporate silicon and germanium, not just silicon. MWOE has an
exclusive license on the technology from the university.

Yeah, been almost 3 weeks since the last great solar breakthrough, so about
time for another one. I think this is the 347th one I have seen since I
started in this business in 1978, and I am still waiting for the $1 per watt
panels.

Yea and if they ever did find a cheap way to make them an oil company would
buy them out and run the costs right back up ...

Hey, did I tell you guys about _my_ solar breakthrough?

See, I know a guy at Area 51 and he got ahold of this silvery stuff
that looks like tin foil but will produce 1.5 kw per square inch when
exposed to MOONLIGHT. Now, I can't tell you how I make it but I'll be
marketing it soon through the University of Toledo's South African
German chapter in Tokyo.

That and I have a great small cap stock and can make you feel like a
real man with this ointment I invented from chicken fat and a secret
powder that I found in Tibet.

Also, I've got this friend who needs to move $1,236,549 and will pay
you $10,000 just for allowing him to use your bank account. Just send
me your account number.

For sale: 1 bridge located in New York City, cheap.

Jeez, I crack myself up.
