The Solar Skin is a low cost solar cell using entirely new cell
construction components
and technology, there are no upper and lower glass/silicone sheets as
per the standard
cell, the silicone substrate component is of a fibreglass nature in
the centre
encapsulated within the TIO2 and dye coating, pressed against a lower
thin film carbon
element section acting as a parallel conductor component, and having
therein a series of
fibre optic thread running through the lower section of the
encapsulated fibreglass layer
in contact with the TIO2 and dye components, and wherein a prismatic
light component is
connected to the ends of the fiberoptic sections on the outer edges
of
the skin provides
a secondary lights source to the outer layer, and subsequent lower
layers as many as is
required. Having both primary components of a flexible fabric medium,
the solar skin can
be applied to large surfaces and more particular to motor vehicles,
wit the added bonus
of the prismatic light feed for the inner conductance having a
vertical acceptance of the
required light waves meaning the side of a vehicle or structure would
be receiving light
from overhead not just via direct sunlight. With a cost of around 30
dollars per metre
(without profit) for the two primary components, makes this also the
cheapest by 100
times any other solar cell. Single layer, no fiberoptic feed, the
output is only half the
average cell per metre, with fibre optic feed around the same, but
with vertical uses and
flexible applications at 100th of the cost is already better Now
simply add more layers.
This cannot be beaten for solar tech.
Think about one aspect, imagine even a poor cell that at 100 meters
above ground and one
square metre horizontal surface?! this can be light fed at the ends,
that means every
other cell in the world is covering the one square metre horizontal
at
the top, this is
covering 5mm thickess max at 200 sheets a metre wide and 100 metres
long to the ground
"20,000 square metres to one"
the carbon fim is only 80um and the fibreglass caoted section is
about
100 um or equiv to two A4 sheets of paper in thickness, now that's
thin ! and flexible and with the fibreoptic end feed runs to 2 - 3 mm
thick. Welcome to the new world.
