Two state governments have cut their generous middle-class welfare
known as solar electricity feed-in tariffs.
One state offered 60 cents a unit! For comparision, typical
domestic users pay 20 cents on a dumb meter, and variable 10 to 40
cents if they have a smart meter. The wholesale cost is more like 7
cents a unit.
Unsurprisingly the solar energy installers have begun screaming.
