I am a senior student from Mechanical Engineering College. I am doing
a graduation project which is Design of a Solar Desalination System
My part for these days is on photovoltaic calculations. I did some
stuff on it but I was wondering if any engineer can help me..
If you can please contact me

thank you for your replay
I am studying in Dubai
What about you ?? are you an engineering student? Or you are an
engineer?

I am an Electronic / Electrical Consultant with an interest in
'alternative' energy sources but beware, I'm something of a sceptic for
the use of PV solar in Northern Latitudes because of the low power
output and high capital cost.
In Dubai, your situation is much more favourable because of greater
insolation. Have you also considered solar thermal energy ? OR solar
thermal generation to provide electricity as notably in Spain. Do you
need heat or electricity is really the question.
If you can outline your project in more detail I'd be happy to assist
more.
Do you know about things like 'insolation maps' and so on ? Solar energy
is far from simple at the large scale.

i am doing the PV part in this project to provide me with the
electricity needed to power the pumps in the desilination system...
the PV part = my part in this project
the desilination part = it is for other students in my team
^_^
