Hello there

Making a (very) low cost solar water panel using coke bottles (500ml size)
(painted black)

I would like to know what is the best type of paint to use? I am trying
acrylic and on a different bottle black spray paint the spray is much
quicker but do guys know  a better type of paint?

Also the other day a I saw in a local D.I.Y shop a panel that had small flat
square tubes like this:-

|    |    |    |    |    |    |

the squares were sealed there was no gap between the bottom and vertical
sides even better these panels were clear so a 'lick' of black paint would
make them quite good I think

What do you think?

Flat black works best.

Thank you for reply Turns out to bottles will only be suitable for
pre-heating as they don not take the temp of kettle water (tested today) the
sheet I saw in the DIY shop still looks good (got to find a way of sealing
the ends)

Going to try glass bottles with holes made in bottom and top (pipe run
though top and bottom)
