You can concentrate Sol's energy many times over, without tracking the

This looks awesome! Has anyone actually tried it in real life?

Not having to move the trough would save a lot of money & effort &
increase reliability.

The only down-side I could see is that the light bounces around a bit
at some angles and so you would lose some efficiency on each bounce
because reflective surfaces always lose some light. It's not hard to
get 90% efficiency so it wouldn't be too much of a loss.

If so, didn't you notice that you cannot space the tubes much more that 2x the
normal spacing ?
If you space them further out, the trough would get exponentially deeper, and
thus the acceptance angle increasingly smaller.
So this design does not concentrate sol 'many' times over. Only about 2 times
over....
