We heat our home with a radiant heat source. Just like the Sun, that
heats the Earth w/o heating the air in between. Radiant heat heats the
objects in your space and prevents you from losing your heat to them.
Very, in fact, the most efficient way to heat a space.
Look into it. Then you won't have to spend so much to be comfortable.
and wear a sweater.

Believe it or not, we arrive at /comfort/ more efficiently by heating
the air - and it takes very much less energy to heat the air in a room
than it does to heat its walls, floor, ceiling, windows, and furnishings
to that same temperature. :-)

We use both methods. The radiant floor heat heats the objects in the room
and they heat the air. I don't like to be cold on one side and hot on the
other side the way the sun does in cold weather. It can lead to sickness.
