Hybrid Car – More Fun with Less Gas

G & E Solar DesMoines, Iowa - Comapny is obviously out of business and cannot find anything about their solar collector system. Is there anyone out there who knows anything about their sytems?

They don't show up in my DSM phone book. You might try calling _Solar
Consultants_ in Des Moines at 515-266-8883 to see if they know
anything.

The outlets have electronic controlled dampers and these are the problem.  One
is constantly closed and the other open.  The open one lets moisture from the
house into the one side of the collector which condensates on the glass.  Opened
the control box and there is no schematic inside. Previous owners of the house
only left who made the system nothing else (looks like G & E but could be GSE).
Assume the dampers are controlled open when the thermostat is set to higher
reading calling for heated air by 24 volt signal.
Anyway hope to replace the electronic dampers but would like to find the
schematic to help.

Best Regards,

Mike

| Thanks Morris I will. It is a passive solar collector with forced
| cold air blowing the heated air out of a quite large collector to
| two house outlets.

If you have occasion to visit Des Moines, stop by my shop (16 miles
further west) for coffee and a look at a passive panel that uses
non-mechanical dampening. :-)
