Based on average monthly Phila weather data, it looks like the local YMCA
might save 30% of the indoor pool heating bill over 9 months of the year
by trickling about 50 gpm of pool water over the bare standing seam roof
during the day, and maybe preheat water for showers in summertime.

A transparent roof cover might triple the savings.

A single cover (eg 2 $00 32'x100' pieces of polyethylene greenhouse film
with a 5-year guarantee) might save 22% more for pool heating, or 63% more,
if we preheat water for showers. The calc below assumes the roof evaporates
enough water to make up for the heat loss from the cover to the outdoors,
with condensation under the cover and minimal water loss.
