Wow! 7000$ custom built for 882W output, that will do the job! If I
send the drawings to a Chinese factory, I could get one for 100$ in
large quantities.

Unfortunately, they tell me to click on a description tab that does
not exist.

I would buy one later, but the 6 month lead time makes me hesitate.
With the CD, a Chinese factory could make it for much quicker (well if
I translate it into Chinese).

Azuredu (is you Mr. Xiao?),

I believe we can concentrate efforts on finding a viable home steam
turbine supplier (or a DIY project that could be used - slotted disc
turbine could one of these...), to be used in you project (which I
believe is the most cost effective one Ive seen here and the one that
really gives comprehensive details for those who wants to build one).
Sharing information and contacts would led us all to a more definitive
costless DIY project using solar parabolic trough systems or even a
prototype for a commercial product for those interested. I mean, there
is a lot of projects around, but maybe we all can make the next step
on something that can be a viable solution. The result could be a
comprehensive guide for all who wants to build it by their own (from
the beginning to the end), with all materials list, suppliers, costs,
track record performance of prototypes, etc....

You mentioned something about sending a project drawing to Chinese
factories. Do you actually have contacts with any Chinese
manufacturer?
