You must live in an odd place.  The really hot (~40C) days here
in southeastern Australia are nearly always the windiest (northwesterlies).

You apparently do not need the A/C then if you have wind on warmer
days.

Our hot days in Canada are 38 deg C with 99% humidity and no air
movement. We need the A/C.

They predict rain in the next few hours every day for weeks and it
never happens. People don't sleep for weeks and the world gets pretty
grumpy unless you sleep in A/C. People without shop in the malls a lot
and ride aound in their cars.

Believe me, we need the A/C too - the wind does nothing to alleviate the
conditions.  But it is usually low humidity, which I guess is better than
high humidity.
With a few consecutive days like that it commonly doesn't drop below 30
overnight,
so we sleep in the A/C too.

Do you sit in an uncontrolled sweat afraid to move because your body
will generate more heat and you could pass out?

People have been living without AC for millions of years.  We dont 'need'
it, Some 'want' it
