Man, crossposting brings out the loonies.

Still building my air collector, it is just about framed up and ready
for the screen and glazing. Of course, there is no guarantee it will
work as designed. Amazing how low long a simple project can take!

Well, I am still waiting for some weeks of sun. Has been really rainy
and dark here for months this year. The best I saw was last summer
without any back insulation on my half homemmade water panels into
2000 liters of water was 37 deg C. I had one shower and the weather
died.

Yes, I finnally cheapened myself, I went to a small 12,000 BTU propane
RV water heater to keep the slab and water equipment from freezing a
few weeks ago. Now I have disconnected the floor loop from the solar
loop and hope to use it for hot water needs, giving up on the slab
heat so far. I shall return some day after the house it built this and
next year. The hydronics will be waiting...LOL

Yikes, where are you?

I've got sun here most days. Today was way too windy to do much work
outside. I've painted in the wind before and always got more paint on
myself than what I was painting. Maybe I'll work on the duct.

No polyiso there?

Probably best. Expensive to keep from freezing, even if it's only 12,000
BTU. I've been burning the worst wood imaginable, some I was trying to
split today was oozing liquid. I've got a Russian staying with me and
he's already burned all the good stuff, never knew Russians hated the
cold so much!

   Hope everything else is easier!
