Hi:
I've never used any solar panels before and would appreciate any advice
for a project I'm starting. I'm going to build a small solar water
heater to circulate the water from a paddling pool. I'm envisioning a
box with a coil of copper tubing and a solar panel in it, with the panel
powering a small aquarium-style pump which will move the water through
the pipes. Has anyone built a small system like this? Any tips? I don't
even know where to start looking to buy panels, so any advice will help.
TIA,
Freud

For something like that you might get buy with one of these little solar
panel / pump
combos they make for pond fountains like these:

The SP003 might be just the thing for $3.
I'm assuming this is a small kiddie pool your talking about. If you need
bigger, just try googling for
"solar waterfall pump" and you'll find a variety of pumps and panel
combinations for any size...

Thanks, I hadn't found that site in my googling - that looks perfect.
Yes, it's for a kiddie pool - I'm hoping to keep the water warm and heat
it up when we fill it.
