I'd like to do an hourly or less simulation of a solar thermal collector in
a closed loop and with heat exchanger parameters that I can change and see
the net monthly or yearly effect. I assume someone has already done this. In
the design of a complete system, one can choose from several different sizes
and types of heat exchangers to heat domestic water from glycol fluid. In my
case I would assume that the collector parameters are fixed and that hourly
solar radiation data is available for a particular location. Since the
glycol solution would be heated to different temperatures during the day, a
simple heat exchanger calculation would not work. Temperatures are not
constant.

Any suggestions welcome. Thanks
