I can tell you that they are in the process of going into liquidation.
We received a formal notice about a meeting on 26 August of the
company's creditors etc. Please don't touch this company with a barge
pole. We lost out on our deposit and they never reply to
correspondence. More fool us. They had an address in Charminster
Road, Bournemouth. Interestingly a couple of weeks back we had a mail
shot from a solar company offering a very similar service with exactly
the same address. Can't remember the name. So if anyone is
contemplating solar heating work with a newish company check the
address is not Charminster Road.

This company have gone into liquidation (voluntary).
The employees / directors have set up Solar Technik url
www.solar-technik.co.uk (under development)
If you want a quality system, installed to high standards with
attention to detail, and a reasonable price, look elsewhere. No
reputable company would adopt selling methods akin to that found in
the old/worst days of double glazing.
Neither Spectrum nor the new company have anything to do with Eric
Hawkins.
