5052 is softer and cheaper. 6061 is harder and more expensive.
Aluminum roof flashing is cheap and who knows what alloy. If you bend
if enough it breaks at the bend line, but I would not want to form the stuff
in a press to contour around a pipe for a solar collector with it. It may not
be the right alloy for that.
Your nitial thread said absorber, so I assumed that you were making
a solr thermal collector. If that is the case, you can see how these guys
do it with roll forming. You might be able to press and rivet two sheets.

In fact, these guys roll swage aluminum or copper over the tubes.
At $0 a piece for the swaged tube, if this is what you are making
I might just be tempted to buy these from them.

Last time I checked, they had a 200 piece minimum, but you can
buy the finished plates with headers in one piece quanities.

Hell, I'm paying $1 just for the tube!
if this is what you are making

You're right that's a lot! Do you have a rough idea of what the
assemblies are going for? I wonder what shipping would be.
Cheers,
