I'm experimenting with various roofing materials to see how worthwhile
it will be to incorporate some active hot air collection into a
proposed new slightly pitched roof. I'm using a panel size of 1.5m^2
at lat 51. Annual insolation is around 1200hrs but I cannot find
figures for the period October to November for UK, which is the only
period that this may be a benefit.
As I have limited instrumentation can I get a decent feel for power
output from a closed circulatory system by simply passing the air tube
through an un insulated water bath and measuring the steady state
water temperature, comparing that with a identical water bath tracking
temperature with an electric element?
