They sell a joiner strip for the double wall stuff, maybe not a Home
Depot but the company makes them. It works well but just a simple two
trough overlap of the corugated stuff, provided the troughs are
vertical is all any roofer would do anyway.

price when you start buying all the bits and pieces especially new.

Just a quick note, if you look around you can probably find some usable
double pane windows for free from someone replacing their windows.  Contact
a custom window company and ask them to call you when they have a
replacement.  They will usually give you any cracked ones (which will work
for what you want) and sometimes even perfect windows with screwed up frames
(again will work for you).  If not they almost always have some good ones
for sale a lot less than you'd find them anywhere new.
