Corrugated polycarbonate might be good for a thermosiphon but how about
a standard box type active collector?

Lexan at my local home depot is in the range of $00+ for an
appropriately sized sheet.

Other materials?

You might look at greenhouse supply for multiwall polycarbonate.

  I have seen prices under $0 for a 4' x 8' sheet.

Home Hardware = 4 x 12' sheet of double walled polycarbonate for $40
The bug proof edging tape is $3 per roll
The joining strip is expensive also....forget the price
The end caps are expensive also...forget the price

Now you started with $.50 pef sq ft for the glazing. Have it shipped
and keep going.

3/8" copper tubing is typically $-$ per lineal foot.
