One Response to “Toyota Motor Corp. President Katsuaki Watanabe poses with completely …”

  1. Don Kelly Says:

    Dear Mr. Watanabe,

Every day I drive a car that you can be as proud of as I am. Physically it looks like a 1978 Celica Hatchback except that it has the side plaque (roof support) in black finish with an inbedded gold logo. The logo is a gold dragon on a red background. Below that in small gold letters is “Celica” and below that in large letters is the name “Supra”. Front and back show the GT labeling.

This car has 349,000 miles on it and the 20R (4 cyl.)engine with five speed transmission still runs and looks good.

But there are many unanswered questions about what this car really is and when was it made. Club members say the Supra came out in 1979 with a six cylinder engine, so this, dispite the Supra GT labeling, is not a Supra.

Also I visited your online museum and note this exact car is not in your collection. I have photos I can send if you wish to see them…..just let me know what email address I can attach a photo to.

Finally, would you like to add this car to your museum collection?

Thank you Sir for taking part of your valuable time to read this message, and feel as proud as I do about this particular model of your outstanding Toyota lines. It is a head turner.
