Third Generation Prius is here (well, almost)
I am going to see the Third Gen Prius this weekend in NYC! Have been looking for it in Philly in Feb 2009 but I guess it has not been ready (or Philly Auto Show is not important enough – seems plausible 🙂 ) The show is at the Javits Center, not too far from the Lincoln Tunnel – pretty convenient place.
Anyways, here is what Toyota promises to show beyond EPA-estimated 51MPG city / 48MPG highway gas mileage :
It Toyota’s words:
The midsize 2010 Prius offers even better mileage ratings, enhanced performance and innovative design features. It is quieter, roomier, and equipped with advanced standard and available features, including a Solar Roof, four driving modes, Intelligent Parking Assist and Touch Tracer Display.
The all-new 2010 Prius will be available in late spring. Visit toyota.com/newprius for details
It’s a shame you can’t really try the Intelligent Parking Assist or assess how much quieter it is at the show floor but I’ll be sure to snap some pictures and report here.
Another booth I’d like to visit is Fisker Automotive – the “new manufacturer of premium green vehicles …” I’d like to see in person how a “premium green vehicle” looks like! 🙂 Here is a hint:
I like it better than the latest Honda Insight. It’s more refined.
